After the BJP leader made a remark against the Prophet Muhammad during a TV debate, Geert Wilders, who is renowned for consistently taking a harsh stance against Islamic radicalism in his nation, offered his support to her.
The Dutch lawmaker posted numerous screenshots of the threats on Twitter.
“So this is what I get supporting the brave #NupurSharma. Hundreds of death threats. It makes me even more determined and proud of supporting her. For evil may never win. Never. #IsupportNupurSharma.”
The screenshots Wilders shared on Twitter included vulgar threats and even expressed a want to kill him.
He had earlier asserted on June 6 that Nupur Sharma had provided accurate information. India ought to stand by her side.
In a tweet in support of Nupur Sharma’s contentious remarks, Wilders posted on Twitter,
“It is ridiculous that Arab and Islamic countries are angered by Indian politician Nupur Sharma’s statement for speaking the truth about Prophet Muhammad who indeed married Aisha when she was six years old and consumed the marriage when she was nine. Why does India apologize?”
Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician and member of the Netherlands’ legislature, tweeted a number of times in favor of the assertion.
