Cristiano Ronaldo confirms his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United
Mega football star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally ended all the confusion regarding his transfer with the announcement of leaving Juventus for Manchester United.
The footballer posted an emotional message on his social media account confirming the transfer while also adding that he will also be ‘I will always be one of you.’
The past week has been extremely hectic for Ronaldo as the athlete has been surrounded with rumors of him transferring to one team from another but he had made it clear that he is not at all liking these rumors and asked fans to wait for him to take the final call. On Friday night, the confirmation regarding him joining Manchester United was made official.
The club welcomed the star player in the most special yet simple way with a caption, “Welcome Home, Cristiano.”
Fans of the footballer are ecstatic with his return to the club especially after all the drama that went behind the selection of the clubs. The 36-year-old player was reportedly in ln splits between two clubs–Manchester United and Manchester City. But after the athlete chose Manchester United, his previous club, and home ground, Ranaldo fans were left in happy tears.
The Portugal national played a huge role in the success of the club. He helped the team to victory in three Premier League titles (2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09), one FA Cup (2003-04), two Football League Cups (2005-06, 2008-09), and the elusive UEFA Champions League (2007-08).
The head coach of Manchester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also indirectly said it was not at all difficult for the club to convince the player. He said that they approached Ronaldo with an offer that they will continue to have an open door for him. Ronaldo is a legend of the club and the greatest player of all time if you ask me. I didn’t think he’d leave Juventus, the coach said.
Ronaldo has been known to be emotionally attached to Juventus. While acknowledging his exit, the footballer said that he is departing from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in Europe
. I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days, he said.
Ronaldo is one of the most expensive footballers in the unit and even for his return with Manchester United, he has signed a deal worth 25 million for a two-year contract.
