Congress pressurizes PM Modi over allegations made by Meghalaya governor

Meghalaya -The governor of Meghalaya Staya Pal Malik verbally attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday where he also called the PM ‘arrogant’.
The remarks made by the top-level diplomat of the state came as a shock to many as he was known to have shared amicable relations with Shah. He revealed that he met the PM to discuss the farmers’ protest on Monday but stated that he ended up having an argument with Modi.
The way the matter was shaped, Congress made no attempts to jump into the matter to utilize the opportunity and demanded the PM and the Home Minister to break their silence on these allegations.

Congress communication department head Randeep Singh Surjewala called for a press conference where he stated, “If Governor Malik is lying, please sack him today and register an FIR against him.” He also added that if the governor is not wrong then the two leaders must come ahead and apologize to the farmers and labor unions of the country.
He said the entire nation was “stunned and shocked” reading the text of the conversation between Governor Malik and PM Modi on the farmers’ agitation. He said the real face of Modi and the BJP government stood exposed today.
The Congress spokesperson said that never has it happened in the history of the country that a PM has talked so degradingly about the farmers of the country. He said this after Malik’s remarks on the conversation with Modi where he gave data on the number of deaths of the farmers to which Modi reportedly said that their deaths have nothing to do with him.
