Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1: Chhaava First Day Collection Breaks Records with ₹31 Crore Opening

The movie Chhaava propelled historical drama into a new category in box office history with its excellent Valentine’s Day premiere. Trade tracker Sacnilk reported, film brought in ₹31 crore on its first day thus becoming the biggest opening for 2025 and setting a new record for Indian film Valentine’s Day collections that surpass Gully Boy’s 2019 total of ₹19.40 crore.
The film experienced a 35.17% theater usage rate at Hindi theaters surpassing Sky Force’s ₹15.30 crore opening by Akshay Kumar. The film Chhaava started with more money in the box office than any other Vicky Kaushal film had ever earned which was better than his movie Uri: The Surgical Strike that started with ₹8.20 crore. The film had good attendance regardless of mixed reviews which secured its financial success the first day.
Directed by Laxman Utekar under Maddock Films for Dinesh Vijan Chhaava presents a grand historical movie about Maratha warrior king Sambhaji Maharaj. Between Akshaye Khanna, Vicky Kaushal, and Ashutosh Rana this historical drama showcases their characters Maharani Yesubai, Sambhaji Maharaj, and Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite respectively. Besides the main cast Divya Dutta appeared in the film as Soyarabai. A. R. Rahman composed the music for this movie while Irshad Kamil wrote the song lyrics.
