PM Modi and Family Pay Tribute on 101st Birth Anniversary | Legacy Lives On
On Tuesday, May 28 NTR Jr- Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr visited NTR ghat to pay tribute to his grandfather’s 101st birth anniversary. His grandfather was the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).
With RRR’s star NTR Jr, his brother Nandamuri Kalyanram also paid his tribute.
Both brothers visited to the memorial with flowers and with joined hands they showed respect to their late grandfather.
NTR’s son Nandamuri Balakrishna was also spotted at the memorial.
Apart from his family Prime Minister Narendra Modi also recalled the contribution of film star and great politician NTR on his 101 birth anniversary.
On hi X handle PM tweeted, “Remembering the legendary NTR on his birth anniversary. He was a remarkable icon of Telugu cinema and a visionary leader. His contributions to film and politics continue to inspire generations. From his unforgettable roles on screen to his transformative leadership, he is fondly remembered. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao popularly known as NTR was an actor, director, producer, editor and a great politician. NTR served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for 7 years.
He was a super hit actor, his acting won him 3-National Film Awards. The awards were for the films Dongalu (1954), Seetharama Kalyanam (1960) and Varakatanam (1970).
For the movies Raju Peda (1954) and Lava Kusa (1963) he received the Rashtrapati award.
NTR acted in more than 300 films and has a wide range of fans. NTR died at the age of 72. The reason was heart attack. He is then remembered by his family, friends and fans in different parts of India. His fans capture the hearts of all Indians, not just South India. We love you NTR!
