Bypoll Results 2023: Who Won The 7 Assembly Seats Across India?
In the Bypolls held on September 5, 2023, in seven assembly seats across India, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious in four seats, while the Trinamool Congress (TMC) secured one seat.
The counting of votes began today (September 8) at 8 am in the respective states, and these results are significant as they serve as a test for the opposition alliance, I.N.D.I.A, against the BJP-led NDA ahead of upcoming state elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In the initial trends, Chandy Oommen of Congress was leading in Puthuppally, Kerala, while Tafajjal Hossain of BJP was ahead in Boxanagar, Tripura, and Parwati Dass of BJP was leading in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand.
These bypolls were closely watched as they represented a significant political test for various parties and alliances in the run-up to state elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The assembly bypoll results 2023 may have broader implications for the political landscape in India.
