Be Happy movie review: Review of the Latest Bollywood Drama

An Aspiration of a Young Girl to Dance
The schoolgirl of Ooty Dhara (Inayat Verma) finds happiness in dance. This loving father, Shiv (Abhishek Bachchan), supports everything in a single parent way but cannot fulfill the great dream of the daughter—to move to Mumbai to join a dance school. Even that does not budge when a top dance teacher (Nora Fatehi) offers her admission to the best academy.
A Dream on the Brink
Dhara barely begins to see her dream materialize when she faces this unwanted trouble, which threatens her entire world. Will her determination and passion prove strong enough to handle the situation? Will she convince them that dreams do come true?
Promises a Good Story but is Poorly Executed
Although the title brings a hint of carefree optimism, it shows promise. Even while the premise is fantastic, execution is where it falters. Inayat Verma shines as Dhara; she lights up every scene with her energy and charm. But Abhishek Bachchan feels restrained as the caring father who played a heart-touching one in I Want to Talk. ‘ And it is tilted more toward dance competitions and some reality show-type molds instead of giving insights into the emotions of the characters.
Performances: Hits and Misses
Nora Fatehi sizzles on the dance floor, but when it comes to acting, she has two left feet. The reliable veteran actor Nassar gets reduced to a predictable grandfather role. Harleen Sethi, as Dhara’s mother, is unfortunately rendered pointless by a brief role, while Johnny Lever’s comedy track happens to be forced and unnecessary.
A Film That Could Have Gone Places
Most importantly, the film has been rendered with scripted dialogues without which many parts of the film failed to sound authentic and natural. It had a good premise, but it certainly didn’t have the kind of emotional depth and connection to resonate with the audience.
