Apple’s Next Airpods Can Check Your Body Temperature, Be Your Hearing Aids
The upcoming version of Apple’s AirPods Pro is rumored to bring revolutionary features focused on health tracking, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. One potential feature is the ability to check if the user is experiencing hearing loss.
Apple already offers an audiogram feature that allows users to adjust their earphones based on their hearing, but integrating this into the operating system could position the AirPods Pro as a hearing aid.
Another feature that could be included in the next AirPods Pro is a temperature sensor. This sensor would enable users to check their body temperature through the ear canal, providing more accurate temperature tracking and potentially indicating if the wearer is ill.
In addition to these health-related features, the next AirPods Pro might also see a shift from the proprietary Lightning port to a USB Type-C charging port.
Apple is reportedly planning to transition its iPhones to USB Type-C due to EU legislation, and it is possible that the AirPods Pro will follow suit.
However, consumers should not expect these features to be available in the near future. Gurman suggests that the next AirPods Pro could be “several months or even years away,” although a newer version with USB Type-C might be released sooner.
This aligns with a previous report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated that AirPods with USB Type-C could launch later this year.

It is unclear yet whether these features will be included in the next generation of AirPods Pro or if Apple will introduce them in a new case with the USB Type-C port.
The above news is based on some reports & sources. But it is advisable that you should wait for the official announcements from Apple.
