Apple is negotiating to manufacture iPads in India -Update

Apple Inc. is trying to lobbying the Indian government in a step that could see the organization build iPads first time in India. As per Reuter’s report, the government is intending to launch an incentive project designed to strengthen India’s computer export business, and Apple is also trying for a better deal.
The plan will have a budget of up to Rs. 70 billion ($964 million) for over five years, as per Reuters, however, Apple is trying to request the amount to be increased to Rs. 200 billion.
Apple is currently making iPhones in India, having begun in 2018 to evade new import taxes forced by the Indian government as a feature of a “Make in India” venture. The company has additionally been trying to diversify its production out of China; a month ago Nikkei announced that some iPad will be produced in Vietnam this year, which would be the first run of major iPad manufacturing which will be happening elsewhere.
However amid the rising geopolitical pressures among India and China are starting to hurt a portion of Taiwan’s greatest tech companies, including suppliers to Apple Inc., and blocking New Delhi’s vaunted incentive program for gadgets making.
India has launched a $6.7 billion intended to better smartphone export, as PM Narendra Modi increased advanced the efforts to boost electronics production and also creating new jobs.
