Alleged rape survior torturend on the streets of Delhi, police arrests 11 people in connection
11 people have been arrested in Delhi for attacking an alleged rape survivor on Friday. Out of these arrested people, nine were women.
The police have found a connection between these people with the incident that took place in Kasturba Nagar in Shahdara District in Delhi.
The woman in question was allegedly abducted and raped and later on paraded on the streets where the arrested indiviusals blackened her face with ink and also shaved her head.
A video was released on social media where these people were forcing her to walk on the streets with a garland of shoes around her neck. The police assured that there are more arrests needed to be made related to the matter and it will soon happen.

A complaint was filed with the police on Wednesday this week. It was the woman’s husband who filed the missing report where he stated that he was not there when this incident took place but was informed by the landlord about the whole matter.
Upon receiving the information, as per the police officials, no time was wasted and the 20-year-old woman was rescued from assault and was taken to the police station.
The police have stamped different sections on the accused party under the Indian Penal Code including gang rape, physical assault, sexual assault, and criminal conspiracy. “Police have nabbed four accused and a probe is on. All possible help and counseling are being provided to the victim,” said R Sathiyasundaram, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara.
