AAP, Congress, BJP Make Promises to Entice Voters Ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections
Punjab -To entice voters ahead of Assembly elections in Punjab in early 2022, political parties like Congress, BJP, AAP, and Shiromani Akali Dal are making announcements.
AAP declared to give Rs 1,000 every month into each woman’s bank account if they are voted to power in Punjab. If there are three ladies in one family, a daughter-in-law, a daughter, and a mother-in-law, each will get this amount, asserted Kejriwal.
AAP guarantees that their promises would benefit one crore women in Punjab. According to the Election Commission of India, there were 96.19 lakh ladies’ citizens in Punjab during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Prior, AAP had guaranteed up to 300 units of free electricity for every family, a 24-hour electricity supply and free treatment and medications at government hospitals.
Targeting AAP over its sop declarations, Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu stated that individuals would not get enticed by populist measures without supporting a policy framework characterized by a proper spending plan.
He added that genuine leaders don’t present “lollipops”; instead, they centre around developing the foundation of society and economy.
