5 Lakh Sanitary Pads Distributed In 1 Day, Set Guinness World Record
The CWT & NID foundation distributed a massive number of sanitary napkins in just 24 hours, earning them a Guinness World Record.
The Chandigarh Welfare Trust (CWT) and NID foundation have accomplished something remarkable. They have set a new Guinness World Record by distributing the most sanitary pad packets in just 24 hours.
On a single day, they gave out a whopping 1.25 lakh packets of biodegradable sanitary napkins. Each packet had four sanitary napkins inside, which adds up to a total of 5 lakh sanitary napkins distributed in one day.
This achievement was recognized by Rishi Nath, an official adjudicator from the Guinness World Records. He handed over a certificate to Satnam Singh Sandhu, the founder of CWT and the chief patron of NID foundation.
The ceremony took place at Mahajan Bhawan in Sector 37, Chandigarh, and many people from different NGOs and religious leaders were present.
The team dedicated this record-breaking achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They praised him for his efforts to make sanitary napkins affordable and accessible to adolescent girls and women.
They also appreciated his campaign to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene, breaking a long-standing taboo.
It’s really surprising, in one single day, they gave out 1.25 lakh packets of biodegradable sanitary napkins. That’s a total of 5 lakh sanitary napkins! It’s such a huge step towards ensuring that women have access to essential hygiene products.
