World’s First 3D ‘Pillow’ For Your Good Sleep, Costs ₹45 Lakhs
A good pillow should be used for good sleep, but today we are going to tell you about such a pillow, knowing the value of which, perhaps a person will stop sleeping.
Thijs van der Hilst, a Netherlands-based physiotherapist and neck specialist, has created the world’s most expensive pillow, which costs around ₹45 lakh ($57,000)
It is considered as the world’s most expensive pillow till date. According to Hilst, it is beneficial for people with insomnia to use this pillow.
Custom Personalized Pillow
The Pillow 3D scanner is designed to measure the exact dimensions of a person’s head, shoulders and neck. In this, Dutch memory foam (cotton) is adapted to the size of the person’s head.
This pillow checks the upper body measurements and sleeping habits of the patients. It then does some calculations and the output is sent to the designer team in Holland.
You will have to wait two-five months to get this pillow.
World’s First 3D Designed Pillow
It took Hilst nearly 15 years to create this particular pillow and they involved a lot of research, thought and planning during its creation.
This particular pillow is being sold by Van der Hilst BV, a company he founded himself. The company’s website claims that this pillow is the world’s first 3D printed and 3D scanned pillow.
Innovative Pillow To Solve Health Issues
According to media reports, Hilst made this pillow after learning that many of his patients had a pillow behind their sleep problems.
In an interview, Hilst said,
“As a cervical specialist, I used to send my patients to the bed store to buy a good pillow, but the question of which of the 3 types of pillows available in the market would be right for them. Being upset, I made a special pillow for him.”
“The three types of pillows on the market weren’t enough for everyone, so I used new technology to develop an algorithm to accurately size and measure pillows for each person.”
Integrated With Gold, Diamond & Sapphire
The pillow is covered in 24 karat gold, making it the world’s first truly “gold pillow”. The chain of the pillow is studded with four diamonds, which is a 22.5-carat sapphire.
Additionally, this pillow blocks all types of electromagnetic radiation including radio waves, lights, etc.
Premium Dutch memory foam is inserted into the pillow using a high-tech robotic machine.
