Women’s Asia Cup 2022: Women’s Asia T20 Starts From Today In Bangladesh
The Women’s Asia Cup 2022 T20 Cricket tournament among 7 countries’ teams started today in Bangladesh. There will be a total of 25 matches till 15th October.
Fans of cricket all over the world are likely to enjoy the 2022 Women’s Asia Cup. The beginning of the tournament will take place on October 1st (Saturday). The championship will be held on October 15th 2022.
Seven teams will compete in the Women’s Asia Cup in 2022. They are the female cricketers of India, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. The competition will be conducted in a round-robin format.
On October 1, the inaugural game will feature a match between Thailand Women and Bangladesh Women (Saturday).
India Women will play Sri Lanka Women in the other match. There will be a total of 25 matches in the Women’s Asia Cup in 2022.
Bangladesh will host the thrilling Women’s Asia T20 Cup starting today. Seven nations will participate for the championship during these matches, which will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh.
Tomorrow’s inaugural game pits Sri Lanka against the Indian women’s team, who have conquered the championship the most—six times. The eagerly anticipated India-Pakistan match will take place on October 7.
The Indian team has had outstanding success thus far in the Asian Cup. The first four seasons of the Asia Cup were played in the ODI format.
After that, the following three seasons of this famous competition were played in T20 format. Six times, four in the beginning and two later, the Indian team has taken home the trophy.
The backbone of the Indian batting order will be Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Jemima Rodriguez is planning to return.
Dayalan Hemlata, Jemima, S. Meghna, and Shafali Verma will also need to demonstrate their worth.
