A rare and unique celestial event “Black Moon” which is going to take place on December 30, 2024. When two new moons fall in the same month it is called as Black Moon. This event can happen in the month of February because it is the only shorter month in a year with a lunar cycle.
Black Moon
The black moon is a specific lunar phenomena which describes the fall of the two moons in a single month and it takes place in the lunar cycle of 29.5 days and this year it can be observed on December 30, 2024. There are two types of Black moon such as monthly and seasonal black moon. The monthly black will occur twice in a year, one at the first of the month and the second one at the end of the same month. The seasonal black moon has four new moons and it will occur rarely once in every thirty three months.
The next black moon in the forthcoming years has also been predicted which falls on August 23, 2025 (third new moon) and August 31, 2027 (second new moon in a single calendar month)
