Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2025: Global Celebration Highlights Hindi’s Role as Cultural Bridge
India observes Vishwa Hindi Diwas today, 10 January 2025 in a bid to increase the global use of Hindi. To that end, the “The Global Voice of Unity and Cultural Pride” celebration reminds people about the roles of language as a medium of communication and culture.
The annual World Hindi Day 2025 celebrates the event of the first World Hindi Conference held in 1975 at Nagpur. The current festivities aim at enhancing the status of Hindi as a connector of global society and various cultures this year. Many educational institutions in India conduct different cultural programs, competitions, and debates to aestheticize the richness of Hindi literature.
The Government of India which started World Hindi Day in the year 2006 is engaged in popularizing the Hindi language at is international level through diplomatic and cultural emissaries. The event differentiates itself from National Hindi Day on September 14, where Hindi is featured as having prominence only inside the Indian neighborhood.
