Virat Kohli Picks on Pant, says ‘no one like Dhoni’
UAE -India is at a crucial stage with all the planning ahead of the T20 World Cup, the concerns regarding the middle order are still lingering around. The middle-order is not one of the strongest aspects of the team which is leading to a lot of pressure on the top order.
At a time like this, India skipper Virta Kohli too has his fair share of concerns when it comes to the wicketkeeping talent. Kohli reminded Rishabh Pant that he is not the only wicket keeper as the Indian side has many options to select from.
In the video posted by the official broadcasters, in what seemed like a fun banter between Pant and Kohli, the skipper asked Pant to be prepared for the World Cup to which Pant replied that he is all set as he has continuously been practicing.
While having a video call with each other, the skipper also said that there has been no wicketkeeper like MS Dhoni in the team who could lead the team to victory. India has not got a wicketkeeper like Mahi bhai since then,” Kohli says. He further added, “See I have a lot of wicket keepers, let’s see who plays in the warm-ups.”
India will be facing Pakistan in their opening match on October 24 while they will play with England and Australia on October 18 and 20 ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup in Dubai. Babr Azam recently made headlines for saying that he is confident of winning against the Indian side. He stated that they have been playing cricket in the United Arab EMirates for three-four years and that has made them aware of the conditions of the grounds here
