Uttarakhand To Get Road & Ropeway Projects Worth ₹3,400 Crore
PM Narendra Modi is visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath today. He is going to lay the foundation stone of projects in Uttarakhand worth over ₹3,400 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi traveled to Kedarnath and Badrinath today where he reviewed a number of ongoing construction projects and laid the cornerstone for a number of new ones.
Security measures have been reinforced in the area in preparation for his visit, an official said.
The Prime Minister’s two-day program is being finalized by the bureaucrats, but the priests of the Dhams and the devotees are also anticipating his arrival.
Numerous quintals of flowers are used to embellish the Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines.
Around eight in the morning, the Prime Minister will arrive in Kedarnath and worship Baba Kedar. He will then formally lay the groundwork for the 9.7-kilometer-long Gaurikund-Kedarnath ropeway project.
He will also stop by Adi Guru Shankaracharya’s Samadhi Sthal during his 2.5-hour lecture. The development work along Mandakini Asthapath and Saraswati Asthapath will also be reviewed by the prime minister.
He will then arrive at Badrinath Dham and, after paying a visit to the temple and making prayers, will assess the development projects being carried out along the riverfront.
Later in the afternoon, he would address the populace in Mana village near Badrinath and lay the cornerstone for road and ropeway projects. After that, he will assess how the Arrival Plaza and the lakes have been landscaped.
The Prime Minister will stay at Badrinath on Friday night. The visit of the Prime Minister to Kedarnath and Badrinath, according to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will be a turning point in the growth of the state.
According to him, the connectivity initiatives being implemented at these locations demonstrate the prime minister’s commitment to facilitating access and enhancing the fundamental infrastructure at places of religious significance.
