Updates on 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, voting percentage and ECI voter list
The most anticipated 2024 Maharashtra Assemnly elections commenced at 7 am and the voting percentage till 9 am turn out to be 6.61%. Common people, b-town celebrities, and significant Maharashtra politicians including Sharad Pawar, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Nitin Gadkari, Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde have arrived early and casted their votes. The voting process is underway in all the 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra. The highest voting is witnessed in Gadchiroli district and Osmanabad is at the lowest.
It is expected that the alliance MVP (Maha Vikas Aghadi) comprise of Congress, Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar’s NCP will comeback to the power.
According to the reports of ECI (Election Commission of India), the total number of candidates who are competing in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, is 4,136.
ECI Voters List
- Eligible Voters – 9.7 crore
- Men – 4.97 crore
- Women – 4.66 crore
- Young Voters (age 18-29) – 1.85 crore
- First Time voters (age 18,19) – 20.93 lakhs
Based on the ECI voters list the polling stations are 1,00,186 in which 388 are “pink booths” especially managed by women and 299 polling booths are managed by Persons with disabilities (PwD). 530 model polling stations are there across Maharashtra.
