UP and Uttarakhand schedule and nominate names for 2022 elections
Gearing up for the upcoming state Assembly polls, the BJP named its organizational spearheads for the elections. They have named Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pralhad Joshi, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Bhupender Yadav in charge for the contest in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Manipur respectively.
In addition, Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav will be in charge of the BJP elections in Manipur as well. PWD Minister Gajendra Shekhawat will be in charge of Punjab while former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has been made in charge of BJP in Goa.
The 2022 elections for UP and Uttarakhand are already scheduled to ghost assembly elections. All major political parties have already started preparing for it. BJP, which is the ruling party in both the states is claiming to repeat their 2017 victory. However, their path this year is expected to be filled with hurdles.
