UAE Achieves 100 Per Cent Covid-19 Vaccination Target
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has achieved a 100 per cent vaccination rate and immunisation of the target groups against Covid-19. Under the UAE’s National Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign, frontliners, volunteers, the elderly and those with chronic diseases have been vaccinated.
The UAE and the Ministry of Health and Prevention worked together to provide the Covid-19 vaccine to these target groups. The ministry worked efficiently to make vaccines available to citizens of the country. The vaccine was made available across all health centres for all members of society.
The UAE’s National Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign
The Ministry of Health and Prevention also supported the health sector and its qualified human resources by providing all necessary medical resources to address the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The campaign was started to reach acquired immunity and decrease the cases of the Covid-19 and control the further spread of the virus. These efforts contributed to the significant reduction in the number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
UAE’s constant support to citizens
Earlier this year, the UAE topped the list of countries with a population of over one million in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, in terms of the rate of fully vaccinated individuals. The UAE also ranked first in recipients receiving at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Since the start of the pandemic, the UAE consistently encouraged residents to follow Covid-19 protocols, including social distancing, hygiene, and wearing masks. The UAE also started a vaccination drive and encouraged people to take the first dose of the vaccine. Many UAE political leaders participated in the drive and received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The UAE authorities approved Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Moderna vaccines. Subsequently, many people participated in the vaccination drive. The UAE also rolled out booster doses in March 2021.
