Twitter Claims To Make History, To Pay Verified Content Creators For Ads
Twitter’s new CEO has claimed that their company is going to make history. Plus Twitter has also planned to make verified content creators for advertisements.
Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, announced on Saturday that the platform will soon begin paying verified content creators for advertisements in their replies.
This move is aimed at promoting subscriptions, retaining advertisers, and improving Twitter’s relationship with brands. The initial block payment for this initiative is set at $5 million.
The decision to pay verified content creators marks a significant step for Twitter, as it introduces a monetization strategy specifically tailored to these influential users.
To be eligible for payment, content creators must have the verified status on Twitter, and only ads served to verified users will count towards the earnings.
This move comes shortly after Linda Yaccarino assumed the role of Twitter’s CEO who is an advertising veteran.
She is expected to play a key role in rebuilding relationships with advertisers and restoring confidence in the platform following Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.
Advertisers had expressed concerns about ad placement after the company underwent layoffs, and Musk aims to address these concerns by implementing more relevant and timely advertisements.
Twitter’s decision to pay content creators for ads in their replies reflects the platform’s recognition of the value these creators bring to the platform’s ecosystem.
By compensating verified users, Twitter aims to incentivize high-quality content creation and foster a mutually beneficial relationship between creators, advertisers, and the platform itself.
Elon Musk had previously emphasized the potential for Twitter to increase its revenue by monetizing users’ attention in March month.
