Tata Tiago EV: India’s Most Affordable Electric Car Gets Launched
Tata Motors has launched the Tiago EV which is claimed to be India’s most affordable electric car till date. The starting price of Tata Tiago EV is ₹8.49 Lakhs.
The most affordable electric vehicle in the Indian market has been introduced by Tata Motors. The base model of the brand-new Tiago EV is priced at Rs. 8.49 lakh.
Only the first 10,000 clients will be eligible for the discount because it is an introductory price. The Tata Tigor EV, Nexon EV, and Nexon MAX EV will be joined by the Tiago EV.
The latest Tiago EV will allow Tata, which already dominates the market for electric vehicles, significantly expand its share of the industry.
The brand-new Tata Tiago EV has the same appearance as the regular Tiago. The Tiago EV differs in appearance from the conventional model of the vehicle due to a few modifications.
The Tata Tiago EV features blue accents and the EV emblem. Blue accents can be seen on the new Tiago EV’s grille, side profile, and even alloy wheels.
The vehicle is offered in a total of 7 models, 5 of which have a 24 kWh battery pack and 2 of which have a 19.2 kWh battery pack.
The most expensive XZ+ Tech LUX is priced at Rs 11.79 lakh. According to Tata, reservations will be accepted starting on October 10, 2022, and delivery will start in January 2023.
2,000 of the 10,000 units available at introductory prices are set aside for current Tata Tigor, Tata Nexon EV, and Tata Nexon EV Max customers.
The amount by which the prices would rise after the first discounts expire has not been disclosed by Tata.
The Ziptron technology that also powers vehicles like the Tata Tiago EV and Nexon EV is used to power the Tata Tiago EV.
There are several battery packs available, each with a varied range. A 24 kWh battery pack offers a 315 km range that has been verified by MIDC.
It should correspond to a 260 km practical range. A 19.2 kWh battery pack in a smaller size is also offered. It has a 250 km range that has been MIDC certified, which translates to around 200 km of range.
There are four main ways to charge. In addition to the quick 7.2 kW AC home charger and the 15 A portable travel charger.

There is also a quick DC charger that can charge batteries from 10% – 80% within only 57 minutes. The battery is fully charged with the 7.2 kW AC home charger in 3 hours and 36 minutes.
Additionally, the automobile has two drive modes: City and Sport. The range can be increased at one of four regeneration levels.
Telematics will be available with Z-Connect on the Tata Tiago EV. Over 65 features are available, including remote geo-fencing, real-time charging status, wristwatch connectivity, and remote AC on/off.
