Srikanth Bolla announced his joining Shark Tank India on the platform of Instagram. He uploaded a picture of himself together with the fellow judges, captioning it: “To survive a pool of sharks, you need to become one yourself.”
Who is Srikanth Bolla?
Srikanth Bolla is much more than an entrepreneur; he is a pathfinder. Being the CEO, Co-founder, and Chairman of Bollant Industries Private Limited, he has defied all odds and created what may be termed a multi-million-dollar company. With a birth defects of sight, he went on to become the first visually impaired person who ever earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in India at the University of Massachusetts. Today, with an annual turnover of more than $150 million and employing more than 500 people, his company manufactures eco-friendly packaging and disposables in India.
Achievements and Contributions
Since 2005 he has been a youth leader and was one of the prominent contentious youth fronts in the national movement Lead India 2020 started by the Ex-President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
He started the Samanvai Center for Children with Multiple Disabilities with him in 2011, contributing along with establishing a Braille printing press to help visually impaired students.
His contributions were widely recognized, as he was included in Asia’s “30 Under 30” by Forbes in 2017.

In 2012, Srikanth launched Bollant Industries with the financial support of investor Ratan Tata. The company focuses on providing green, areca-based packaging and employs people with disabilities. It also works to achieve sustainable products by recycling municipal waste and plastics into products, thereby becoming a frontrunner in green business solutions.
