SRK’s son Aryan Khan arrested along with 7 others in NCB Mumbai cruise party raid

Mumbai -On Sunday, eight were arrested including megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a raid conducted by NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau). The raid was conducted at a cruise party off the Mumbai coast and went on from 10 am until 2 pm.

Before the arrest of 23-year-old Aryan Khan was confirmed, Shah Rukh Khan was seen leaving his house for his lawyer’s office. Aryan was also seen in a viral social media video allegedly post raids. Besides Aryan Khan, seven other people who have been detained by NCB for questioning are Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, Arbaaz Merchant.

NCB officials had boarded the cruise ship bound for Goa on Saturday morning, disguised as passengers. The party began after the ship left Mumbai coast, sources reveal. During the raid, suspects were searched by NCB officials that led to recovery of various drugs from them. An official has shared that drugs were hidden in purses, clothes and undergarments. NCB has said that the high profile raid led to seizing of 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD. The suspects were presented in court on Sunday evening where they were granted custody till Monday.

Aryan Khan has been arrested under charges of purchase, possession and use of banned substances. Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde demanded bail saying that Aryan was arrested only on basis of chats. He said, “Aryan had no ticket, no cabin or seat on board the cruise. He was there because he had been invited. He didn’t even have a boarding pass. Nothing has been found on him. He was arrested on the basis of chat only.”

NCB has claimed that it has sufficient WhatsApp chat messages and call records that incriminate those arrested in the drugs raid. “We received an intelligence input about a rave party that was planned on the cruise that was going from Mumbai to Goa, following which a raid was conducted and the drugs were seized. Several people were detained for questioning and it is only after we were certain about the involvement of the accused, that the arrests were made,” an NCB source said.

“There are several suspicious transactions that have been done and are now under investigation. We have also apprehended a person who is in the supply chain of the drugs, who will now be interrogated to unearth the links and the entire drug nexus,” the source added.
