One of the most talented footballers of his generation, Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min from South Korea has just taken a remarkably difficult decision to exit the club after 10 years. He is expected to depart this summer.
Son made the announcement on Saturday at a press conference in Seoul, sitting beside Tottenham manager Thomas Frank. “I need a little bit of change – 10 years is a long time,” he said. Son is expected to be transferring to the MLS side Los Angeles FC.
Son Heung-min names his 5 favourite footballers
Just recently, the South Korean star named his five favourite footballers of all time and included former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona stars. The list includes:
1. Park Ji-sung

Park is one of the most famous footballers in South Korea. The box-to-box midfielder enjoyed his peak years playing for Manchester United.
2. Zinedine Zidane
Zidane is arguably the best midfielder of all time. The Frenchman produced a number of iconic moments throughout his career. He had a notable presence at Real Madrid.

This Brazilian superstar captured the imagination of almost all football fans across the globe in the early 21st century. His presence at Barcelona is absolutely incredible.
4. Lionel Messi
Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has often spoken highly of Lionel Messi. There is a huge possibility that the pair could be meeting in the MLS playoffs later in 2025.
