Snapchat Launches AI-Powered Chatbot ‘My AI’ For Subscribers
Snapchat is launching an AI chatbot ‘My AI’, as an experimental feature for Snapchat+ subscribers. The chatbot is backed by OpenAI’s GPT technology like ChatGPT.
Snapchat has reported the launch of My AI, a new chatbot powered by the most recent version of OpenAI’s GPT technology, which has been modified for the platform. This week, My AI will be made available to Snapchat+ subscribers as an experimental feature.
The chatbot is a new experimental tool that Snapchat is rolling out to its Snapchat+ subscribers.
Snapchat+ is a monthly membership service that provides users with experimental, pre-release, and exclusive features for ₹49.
My AI can come up with suggestions for birthday presents for your BFF, organize a weekend hike, suggest a menu, or even compose a haiku about cheese for a friend who is crazy about cheddar. You can personalize My AI by naming it and changing the background for your Conversation.
Similar to ChatGPT, it can help you organize your holidays, make recipe suggestions, and compose poetry. You can also personalize it by giving it whatever name you choose. You can change the chat background wallpaper in Snapchat.
My AI, like any chatbots powered by AI, is susceptible to hallucinations and can be made to say almost anything. A Snapchat blog mentions,
“Please be aware of its numerous flaws, and our apologies in advance! Every chat you have with My AI will be recorded and could be evaluated to enhance the experience. Please do not disclose any secrets to My AI and do not depend on it for advice.”
While My AI is built to steer clear of biased, inaccurate, dangerous, or misleading content, errors may nevertheless happen. To leave feedback on any message from My AI, simply press and hold the button.
Snapchat will let you report messages that might be dangerous or include “misleading information” by holding down the chat bubble for an extended period of time.
