Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Bloody Daddy’ opts for direct OTT release
Said to be an official adaptation of the 2011 French film ‘Nuit Blanche’, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor-starrer action-thriller ‘Bloody Daddy’, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar of the 2017 hit ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ fame, is all set for its direct-to-digital release on June 9.
Zafar, who is currently in London for a shoot of his other film, expressed his happiness over the release of the film’s teaser via video conference. The announcement concerning the release date was made at an event of Jio Studios.
After delivering an incredible performance in Farzi, Kapoor is back with yet another big move, sharing with reporters at the event a glimpse of the great time he had filming for ‘Bloody Daddy’. “I really enjoyed working with Ali,” said the 42-year-old, adding the director had a great understanding of the genre.
Kapoor also highlighted how his dancing experience helped him grab a better idea of action choreography. He started dancing at the age of 15 and is capable of memorizing things relatively fast, the actor further mentioned.
Despite numerous hurdles posed by Covid, things ultimately worked out in the end. Kapoor’s noteworthy dancing experience helped him pick up the action moves really fast, he said. The actor further elaborated on the physical changes an action film might cause, adding “When you do action, you lose about a kg a day.”
