Shaakuntalam, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s next Telugu mythological drama, saw the release of its trailer on Monday in Hyderabad.
According to the trailer’s aesthetics, the movie portrays Samantha at her most ethereal in what appears to be an epic reenactment of a Mahabharata episode.
The trailer begins with a picture of a vast country, followed by a voiceover that introduces us to a newborn that Menaka and Viswamithra abandoned. The baby is identified as Shaakuntala in the trailer, who was born with a mission.
In her next movie Shakuntalam, Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays a helpless damsel. The actress looks very stunning in the first trailer for the movie, which also stars Dev Mohan.
The hugely produced movie is based on the critically renowned Sanskrit play “Abhijnana Shakuntalam” by Kalidasa. The movie will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada movie theaters.
