SC gives extension till March 15 to Future group and Amazon to end the legal battle

The Supreme Court gave till March 15 for Future group and Amazon to solve the issues going between them which have taken a legal turn.
As per the latest development, Amazon has offered to carry out dialogue with Future Retail.
The controversy grew between the two sides due to a contract dispute. The difference in opinion soured the relations between the two tech companies. Now after much fuss, Amazon has offered to talk with Future Retail.
In the Supreme Court, the lawyer representing Amazon Gopal Subramanium claimed that the matter has continued for too long. “All I’m saying is at least have a conversation. We can’t allow the spinner wheel to go on like this,” Subramanium told the court.

The Future Group’s lawyer on the other hand has agreed to speak to Amazon and solve the ongoing issue. The judges holding the hearing stressed that two sides could take ten days to reach a possible solution.
Amazon had managed to block Future’s $3.4 billion asset directed towards the Indian rival Reliance for two years. It did so citing the breach of specific contracts. However, despite the allegations, the future group denies any such wrongdoing but the upper hand remains to be with the United States based company.
