Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli pays tribute to Australian Spinner Shane Warne

Australia’s greatest spinner Shane Warne passed away at the age of 52 on Friday. The Cricket fraternity is shocked because of his sudden demise.

One of the greatest batsmen of all time in India, Sachin Tendulkar, has condoled his death. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have also condoled his tragic death. The legendary Australian cricketer Warne died of a suspected heart attack in Thailand.

Kohli said that he still cannot process the passing away of Shane Warne. He said that Warne lived his life king size. Kohli reportedly said, “Passing at the age of 52 is something unexpected.”

Sachin Tendulkar also wrote on Twitter about Warne’s death. He wrote, “Will miss you Warnie. There was never a dull moment with you around, on or off the field.” Tendulkar also said that Warne always had a special place for India and Indians also had a special place for the legendary cricketer. Tendulkar was reportedly shocked to hear this news.

Rohit Sharma said that Warne’s death is a huge loss for the cricket world. He also paid condolences to Warne’s family, his three kids, and friends. Sharma said that Warne inspired the whole new generation of cricketers.

Former India batsman Virender Sehwag, who faced Warne numerous times in his career, also condoled his death. He wrote in a tweet, ”My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and fans all around the world.”

Reportedly, Warne was the second-highest wicket-taker in the history of Test cricket, behind Muttiah Muralitharan, with 708 scalps to his name. Warne played 194 One Day Internationals (ODI) for Australia. He helped Australia to win the World Cup in 1999.

Warne’s management released a brief statement in the early hours of Saturday to share the news about his death. He passed away in Koh Samui, Thailand. He was found unresponsive in his villa.
