Retro Beats And Star Debuts As ‘The Archies’ Bring Back the 60s
The Archies, a new film, is bringing a fresh breeze of retro fun and it’s got everyone excited. This film is special because it’s the first Bollywood movie for three young actors – Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor. They are the children of well-known Bollywood stars and are now stepping into the film world themselves.
The person leading this exciting project is Zoya Akhtar, a director known for making movies that people remember for a long time. She has a knack for telling stories in a way that touches people’s hearts.
Now, there’s this song from the movie called ‘Va Va Voom’ that has just been released, and it’s like stepping into a time machine. The music, the clothes, the dance – it takes you back to the 60s, a time of bold fashion and catchy tunes.
The song is the creation of a team of musical wizards – Shankar, Ehsaan, and Loy. These guys know how to make music that makes you want to get up and dance.
They’re penned by Javed Akhtar, a man whose words have been part of many songs we’ve hummed over the years. Adding to the charm is the voice of a singer named Tejas, who has sung the song with a lot of energy.
But ‘Va Va Voom’ is just a glimpse of what’s to come. The full movie, The Archies, is set to come on Netflix on December 7. It’s a story inspired by Archie Comics, which many of us have grown up reading.
The comics are about Archie Andrews and his friends – Veronica, Betty, Jughead, and Reggie – and their adventures in high school. This movie aims to bring the same fun and friendship to life, with a touch of Indian flavor.
