Rap star Honey Singh’s wife files a domestic violence case against him, Sing is expected to reply by Aug 28

One of India’s most popular rap stars Honey Singh has been accused of domestic violence by his wife Shalini Talwar. Talwar filed a case against the musician under Protection of Women From Domestic Violence in Tis Hazari Delhi. 

On Tuesday, the news about domestic violence broke leaving each of his fans in shock. Talwar has no only filed case of domestic violence against the rapper but also accused him of sexual violence, mental harassment and financial fraud. 

The case is being handled by a law firm called Karanjawala and Co and August 3, Advocate Sandeep Kapur, Apoorva Pandey and GG Kashyap were present before the magistrate Ms Tania Singh. Following the case, the court issued a notice to Honey Singh, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh. The 38-year-old rapper has been given time till August 28 to file for his reply in the concerned matter.

Along with this, the court has also passed interim orders in favour of Shalini Talwar which essentially forbids Honey Singh from disposing off his jointly owned property among other things. 

The case is as it is gaining a lot of attention due to the popularity of the musicians but another reason behind this is a viral clip circulating in social media where Honey Singh can be seen introducing his wife to the world. 

In 2014, the rapper introduced his wife to the world in a reality show which had also shocked a lot of his fans especially when they came to know that he had married Talwar way before he became famous in the music world. 

The couple got married in 2011 and years later, Singh introduced her to the world where he was all praises for his wife stating that he will always listen to her no matter what as she is his best friend. However, in the plea, Shalini stated that she was being tortured by Singh and his family for 10 years while also accusing Honey Singh of cheating.
