Rajnath Singh’s POK Pledge Sparks Debate: Farooq Abdullah Responds
A controversial statement was recorded on Sunday by the LokSabha member and Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah. He said that Pakistan has atom bombs that can fall on us, Pakistan is not wearing bangles.
This statement came in response to BJP leader Rajnath Singh’s statement “PoK will be merged with India.” Rajnath Singh is the defense minister of India.
In his statement, Farooq Abdullah said “If the defense minister is saying it, then go ahead. Who are we to stop? But remember, they (Pakistan) are also not wearing bangles. It has atom bombs, and unfortunately, that atom bomb will fall on us”
Let us remind you that it is not the first time when Rajnath Singh used Pakistan and POK in his rallies. Earlier he said that people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir want to be part of India.
During a rally in Darjeeling, West Bengal Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “PoK was, is, and will remain ours”

Another statement came from the Ministry of External Affairs. On Sunday S Jaishankar said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is part of India. Indian Parliament have a resolution which reflects that PoK is part of the India.
Further S Jaishankar added that people had forgotten about PoK, but now actively they are talking about it.
However, it is not just S Jaishankar or Rajnath Singh, the entire BJP is using the word PoK in their rallies for the 2024 elections. And for once if we remove elections from it, this is not a new thing, senior leaders Amit Shah, PM Modi, and others have said many times that PoK is a part of India and they will take it back.
During an interview in Cuttack, Media asked Jaishankar about India’s Plan for POK then he replied very confidently that POK is part of India.
Further, he indirectly targeted INC-
He said, “how did PoK come under the control of other people? You know, when you have someone in your house who is not a responsible custodian of the house, someone steals from outside. Now, here you have permitted another country.”
