Rajeshwari Kumari, Manavjit Singh Sandhu Win Shotgun Trap Trials
Rajeshwari Kumari and Manavjit Singh Sandhu emerged victorious in the trap trials. On the other hand Sarabjot Singh and Anuradha also win in pistol.
Rajeshwari Kumari won the women’s trap T3 trials, hitting 30 targets to seal the victory. Sarabjot Singh won the men’s 10m air pistol T4 trial in Bhopal’s M.P. State Shooting Academy range, and Anuradha Devi won the women’s air pistol T4 match.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu, a former world champion and four-time Olympian, won the men’s trap competition in the T3 Shotgun National Selection Trials at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting range in Delhi.
He scored 29 hits in the first 32-targets in the final, beating Lakshjeet Singh Sindhu with three targets to spare.
Manavjit Sandhu delivered strong rounds of 24 and 25 on day two, finishing fourth after a shoot-off to decide rankings.
He then made the final with a second-place finish in the second semi-final, striking 21 of the 25 birds.
He finished with 14 straight hits, defeating Lakshjeet Singh Sindhu with three targets to spare, while Kynan Chenai was third.
Rajeshwari Kumari had to endure shoot-offs in qualification, finishing seventh, and in the semi-final, where she overcame former Commonwealth Games champion Shreyasi Singh.
Rajeshwari hit 30 targets to seal victory, beating Manish Keer, who hit 27 targets, to second place, in the final.
Sarabjot Singh won the men’s 10m air pistol T4 trials gold match, defeating Arjun Singh Cheema 16-12. In the women’s 10m air pistol T4 trials, Anuradha Devi upstaged Palak 17-11.
Bakhtyaruddin Malek and Aashima Ahlawat emerged on top with scores of 117 and 114, respectively in the junior men’s and women’s trap classifications.
Both prominent players went to Haryana in the junior 10m air pistol category, where Sagar Bhargava and Varsha Singh became the winners

These trials serve as preparation for the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup Shotgun in Cairo, Egypt, starting on 25th April, 2023.
