Priyanka Chopra Jonas is one of the few Indian actors that has given the Indian film industry a international flavor to its existence. She has invested herself well in the West to be able to find herself a place and mention amongst the best in fashion and acting.
Bringing the Indian flavor back to the world of cinema, she has now tied up with Amazon to bring some unique Indo-western content for the discerning viewers.
Rubbishing rumours over her being tongue tied regionally, she says “I can do any language I want” as she works hard on two projects to be aired through the web series format of Amazon; Sangeet and Citadel.
As multiplex formats seemed to have become obsolete overnight, a lot of actors are now eyeing the web series market to get back into business. Priyanka Chopra has entered into a two year multi-million dollar first-look television deal with Amazon.
With the aim of making global storytelling a reality, the Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke has confirmed that Priyanka Chopra will be spearheading “some exciting original content and characters that can resonate globally. She’s a powerhouse producer, and we are thrilled to collaborate with her for years to come.”
Priyanka is entering the game as an actor and producer with Amazon, a company which has done a turnaround whooping business despite the Corona virus led lockdown situation.
In March, market watchers had a prospective list of those who would fair well despite the pandemic conditions. C.O’Hara, chief market technician for equity research at trading firm MKM Partners ,San Francisco compiled what he called a “Stay at Home” portfolio of stocks. Among the list of companies that he believed could hold up better against the coronavirus was online retail giant Amazon, streaming service Netflix and some other online food delivery applications. Home Entertainment business has definitely made an impact as more and more people have shifted to online and home based entertainment in lockdown situations.
