PM Promises To Repeals Farm Laws in Winter Parliament Session

Last updated on November 20th, 2021 at 04:55 am

Punjab -Guru Nanak Jayanthi had a good and auspicious touch to himself as PM Narendra Modi went all out to apologize to the farmer community in a generous gesture repealing the three farm laws in the forthcoming Winter Parliament session.

The impetus seems to come after the Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi announced to agree to all conditions set down by farmers in Punjab. There have been several stubble fires leading to excessive pollution and severe drop in air quality of New Delhi too.

Channi applauded the decision the repeal the three farm laws. However, he didn’t leave the opportunity to give a swing at the saffron party for having unnecessarily troubled the farmer community either. In a formal statement to the media, he said, “The BJP-led Central government should admit on record to have made a Himalayan blunder in introducing these bills for which it hardly bothered to even relent for more than a year.”

Additionally, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of 40 farm unions happily welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement. But they are not keeping their guards down. They will be waiting and watching too.

Speaking to the media about the development, a spokesperson of SKM said, “The agitation of farmers is not just against the repeal of the three black laws, but also for a statutory guarantee to remunerative prices for all agricultural produce and for all farmers. This important demand of farmers is still pending.”

Since November 26 of last year, farmers from various parts of India have been repeatedly protesting against the new farm laws that hurt their basic earning and put them at risk of being exploited by private players under the guise of the Minimum Support Price. In his address to the nation, PM justified his stance as one which a larger perspective for India and the farmer community.
