PM Modi’s Kashmir visit for development projects cost Rs 32,000 CR, set to transform the state
PM Narendra Modi Will be visiting Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday, 20 February 2024, & Will be announcing his multiple development projects worth Rs 32,000 CR in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
PM Narendra Modi will announce several development projects & schemes in several sectors, Like Health, Education, Rail, Road, Aviation, Petroleum, Civic Infrastructure & Many others. These projects will help in the growth of the state magnificently.
PM Narendra Modi will be announcing all the schemes & projects that will be developed under this scheme in Maulana Azad Stadium In Jammu & Kashmir, He will lay the foundation stones of projects over 32,000 CR including inaugurations of 3 IIMs, one in Jammu, During his visit.
He will also lay the foundation stone of the New terminal building of Jammu Airport & Common User Facility Petroleum depot in Jammu along with many other investments & development projects in the sectors

PM Narender Modi will be distributing 1500 appointment orders to new government recruits in Jammu & Kashmir, PM will also interact with beneficiaries of various government schemes as a part of “Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu”
The function will start at around 11:30 AM IST

Development projects & Schemes that will be announced by the PM Narendra Modi
New terminal building at Jammu airport
PM Modi will foundation stone of the New terminal building at Jammu airport during his visit, It will be able to handle traffic of 2000 passengers per hour in peak seasons, The project will be spread over around 40,000sqm area and the new terminal building will be having high tech facilities and up to the mark technologies for better & smooth operation of the terminal.
Upcoming Road Projects to be announced by PM Modi.
Considering the most & highly required development project, PM Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation stones of several road projects in Jammu Kashmir for better accessibility & transportation, Those packages which are very important and beneficial to the state are
• Spanning 44.22 km, linking Delhi to Jammu’s Katra via Expressway
• Phase two for four-laning of Srinagar Ring Road
• Five packages for upgrading the 161 km long Srinagar to Uri stretch of NH-01
• Kulgam Bypass and Pulwama bypass on NH-444
Common User Facilities, Petroleum Depot
PM Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation stone to develop of state of an art Common User Facility (CUF) Petroleum Depot at Jammu. With a whopping capacity of 100000 kl the plant will be fully automated and will be fully high-tech.
It will store several types of Petroleum Products like – Motor Spirit (MS), High-Speed Diesel (HSD), Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO), Aviation Turbine fuel (ATF), Ethanol, Biodiesel and winter-grade HSD
Distribution of Appointment letters
During his visit on 20th Feb, 2024 he will also distribute appointment letters to 1500 New government recruits of Jammu & Kashmir and also hold a talk with beneficiaries of various government schemes as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu’ mission.
AIIMS Jammu
On his visit PM Modi will also inaugurate Jammu’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Vijaypur (Samba).
This AIIMS Jammu was set and recognised under the Central sector scheme Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana whose foundational stone was also laid by the PM in February 2019.
Railway Projects
first Electric Train in the valley and also train service between Sangaldan station and Baramulla station will be flagged off by PM Modi.
New & Upcoming Rail projects to be introduced
• a new railway line between Banihal and Sangaldan that will cover a distance of 48 km
• an electrified train between Baramulla and Sangaldan section that will cover a distance of 185.66 km.
Other Projects
The PM Narendra Modi will also inaugurate some projects virtually that are –
• The highest railway bridge in the Reasi district, the Devika River rejuvenation project.
• The Shahpur Kandi project
• IIM Jammu
PM Modi will also lay the foundation for 124 new projects in Jammu and Kashmir including 9 industrial estates, 62 road projects, 42 bridges, and 2,816 flats for Kashmiri migrants.
The Border Security Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police. on February 17 conducted an anti-tunneling drive in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district along the Indo-Pak international border ahead of PM Modi‘s visit.
