PM Modi To Inaugurate Global Investors Summit (GIS) In MP Today
The Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Madhya Pradesh is starting today. The 2-day summit aims to attract investors for the growth of the state.
The 7th edition of Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investors Summit, a hallmark event of the state government, will essentially be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Indore today, on January 11.
According to an official, the two-day summit’s theme is “Madhya Pradesh-The Future Ready State.” More than 5,000 industrialists from 84 countries are going to take part in the summit.
PM Modi stated in a tweet that he will be delivering his remarks through video conference at the Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit 2023 at around 11:10am today.
The varied investment prospects in Madhya Pradesh will be highlighted at this summit.
Chandrikapersad Santokhi of Suriname and Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali of Guyana will speak to the gathering following Modi’s opening remarks, according to the official.
Piyush Goyal, the minister of commerce and industry for the union, will also speak remotely at the meeting.
More than 5,000 industrialists, members of several international industry associations, 447 foreign delegations from 84 countries, 401 international buyers, and representatives from all the G20 countries will attend, the official added.
The official added that the event’s main goals include showcasing the state’s industrial ecosystem, promoting state policies, consulting with industry groups to develop policies that are industry-friendly, creating opportunities for collaboration, promoting export potential, buyer-seller meetings, and vendor development.
When the NRIs arrived for the “Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas,” CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan arranged a meal for them and pushed them to attend the Global Investors Summit.
According to Pankaj Chaturvedi, the state BJP spokesperson, four lakh new jobs and investments of 1.75 lakh crore were generated in the state during the last 6 investor meetings.
