A shocking incident happened during the screening of Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Mumbai’s Gaiety Galaxy Theatre where an unknown person threw pepper spray and created panic and distress among the spectators of the theatre. The incident disrupted the screening by the theatre staff and kept the audience coughing, complaining of throat irritation and nausea for almost twenty minutes. This is in addition to the other controversies associated with the high-profile film release of the movie.
The theatre staff did not wait for such actions from the man and immediately ceased the screening and reported it to the police regarding the situation. Some videos that started to go viral depicted the audience looking worried and trying to escape the area.
The pepper spray incident is not the first scandal associated with the film’s release. Before the screening, high ticket prices had raised quite a lot of controversy among the public. Unfortunately, there was a death accident when actor Allu Arjun was going to one theatre to watch the first show of the film. Still, the film has tried hard to deliver a good show at the box office and it has been reported that it has grossed over Rs 200 crore for the film and the domestic box office collection of the movie stands at Rs 175.1 crore.
