Parul Chaudhary Breaks 6-Yr Old National Record In W-3,000m Race
India’s female athlete Parul Chaudhary has broken a 6-year old national record. She has become the 1st Indian athlete to clock a sub-9 minute time in W-3000m.
At the Sound Running competition in Los Angeles on Saturday, Indian star runner Parul Chaudhary broke a new national mark and became the first Indian athlete to post a time under nine minutes in the women’s 3000m event.
On Saturday night, renowned Indian women’s track athlete Parul Chaudhary broke the national record by covering the distance in 8:57.19. She picked up speed in the final two laps to take third place.
Suriya Loganathan’s previous steeplechase record of 9:04.5 seconds, set in New Delhi six years ago, was beaten by 27-year-old Chaudhary.
World Championships in Oregon, USA 2022
The Indian team for the 2022 World Championships in Oregon, USA includes Chaudhary (ranked 48).
She is ranked 39th out of 45 female competitors in Eugene, Oregon. She will compete in the 3000 m steeplechase for women.
Parul Chaudhary’s Last Golden Performance
Parul Chaudhary earned a gold medal in the women’s 3000 m steeplechase at the national competition last month in Chennai.
