M. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar
M. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar became the second Lok Sabha Speaker after the sudden demise of the first Speaker, G.V. Mavalankar. Mavalankar, a Congress MP served from May 1952 until February 1956. Ayyangar, also a Congress MP had two terms as Speaker. His first term was from March 1956 to May 1957, and his second term was from May 1957 to April 1962.
