NEEK Now Streaming on OTT: Where to Watch Dhanush’s Romantic Comedy
The much-anticipated Tamil coming-of-age romantic comedy film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam: A Usual Love Story (NEEK) premiered on Amazon Prime for streaming on March 21, 2025. After a successful theatrical launch on February 21, 2025, and with audiences now privileged to enjoy the movie from the comfort of their homes, the movie is open to anyone who wants to watch it.
A Relaxed Release After Paroxysmal Years of Production
Dhanush-Taittayan, Kasthuri Raja, and Vijayalakshmi Kasthuri produced NEEK under the banners of Wunderbar Films and RK Productions. NEEK has had a long troubled ride to its recent official release. Originally conceived in 2016 by Soundarya Rajinikanth with Dhanush in the lead role, the film constantly witnessed delays. In December of 2023, Dhanush was appointed as the director, and the film began. Previously tentatively titled DD3 (its third directorial assignment), the film title was formally announced shortly after, and shooting was set in motion.
NEEK Storyline
The movie features Prabhu, a young gourmet chef trying to forget his old love, Nila. As he prepares for an arranged marriage with Preethi, his past resurfaces when he unexpectedly comes across Nila. When Nila comes into a family crisis, Prabhu gives her some space by stepping back. He eventually opts for Preethi and thus a new start in his life.
