Mumbai Police Investigate Death Threat Against Salman Khan Amid Rising Security Concerns
Bollywood star Salman Khan has once again received a death threat. This time threat comes with a demand of Rs 2 crore. According to India TV News, “As per the message, the unknown caller said that if Rs 2 crore is not paid, Salman Khan will be killed.”
The messages came through WhatsApp and after the news broke the Mumbai Police quickly responded by registering a case against the unidentified person behind the threat.
According to reports, two threatening messages were sent to the Worli Traffic Police, and authorities are investigating the case under section 354 (2) and 308 (4) of the BNS.
This latest threat follows a similar incident earlier in the week when a 20-year-old man, identified as Mohammed Tayyab, also known as Gurfan Khan, was arrested in Noida for issuing death threats to Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of late NCP leader Baba Siddique. Siddique, a three-time MLA and former state minister, was killed outside his son’s office, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claiming responsibility.
In April another attempt on Salman Khan’s life occurred when two men fired gunshots outside his residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. The assailants fled the scene immediately, but the incident underscored growing security concerns surrounding the actor.
