Molestation Allegation Against Prithvi Shaw by Sapna Gil Is False: Police
Social media influencer Sapna Gill had filed a criminal complaint against Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw recently, accusing him of molestation and assault. However, the Airport Police in Mumbai has found no evidence to support the allegations made by Gill.
Initially, it was Shaw who had lodged a complaint against Gill and her friends, claiming that he was assaulted by them after he refused to take a selfie with them inside a hotel. Shaw alleged that he was attacked with a baseball bat and his car’s windshield was damaged during the altercation.
In response, Gill filed a complaint against Shaw and his friend Ashish Yadav, accusing Shaw of molesting her and assaulting her with a baseball bat. However, the police report states that there is no evidence to support Gill’s allegations and that her accusation is false.
According to statements provided by the hotel staff, Shaw objected to Gill’s friend taking a video of him, which led to an argument.
The staff mentioned that Gill threatened Shaw, saying, “Now, see what I will do to him.” The hotel staff also confirmed that Shaw did not misbehave with Gill on the day of the incident.
Gill claimed that her friend approached Shaw for a selfie, but Shaw allegedly took the phone and damaged it before the altercation took place. Gill further stated that Shaw touched her inappropriately after she pleaded with them to stop assaulting her friend.
