Martial Law has been Declared by the South Korean President on Tuesday
South Korea President, Yoon Suk Yeol declared the significant emergency law “Martial Law” on Tuesday while during the late-night TV address. Yoon has highlighted the stratified allegations and indictment over the opposition. Based on the reports given by the local news outlet Yonhap, the restrictions have been laid for the parliamentarians to enter the building by sealing the entrance.
“To safeguard a liberal South Korea from the threats posed by North Korea’s communist forces and We will eliminate the anti-state forces and restore the country to normalcy as quickly as possible.
I hereby declare emergency martial Law.
This is an unavoidable measure to ensure the freedom and safety of the people and guarantee the sustainability of the nation against the unrest stirred by these subversive, anti state elements” said South Korea’s President

Martial Law is an emergency law enforced during the time of war, national crisis or any civil unrest. This Martial Law has been implemented during many historical events of South Korea in the past which includes the Korean War, April Revolution (1960), and October Restoration (1972). “Violation of this proclamation will be subject to arrest, detention, and search and seizure without a warrant” – the order stated.
The opposition members, leader of the ruling conservative People Power Party express their condemnation and criticise as “Martial Law is wrong”.
