Manchester United Acquires Casemiro From Real Madrid For $70 Million
Casemiro joins for a fee that could reportedly go up to $69.53 million. It was revealed before the Old Trafford crowd after United’s game against Liverpool.
Manchester United announced on Monday that it has completed the transfer of Casemiro from Real Madrid.
The Brazilian midfielder signed a contract with the Premier League club through June 2026 with an additional year’s option.
The 30-year-old was introduced in front of the Old Trafford fans before United’s match against Liverpool for a rumored fee that might reach 70 million euros ($69.53 million).

Casemiro said to the club website,
“The opportunity to start a new challenge at Manchester United and in the Premier League is extremely exciting.”
“I have worked with many great managers in my career and, having met with Erik (ten Hag) and heard his ideas, I can’t wait to work closely with him, his staff and my new teammates in the coming years.”
After moving to Real from Sao Paulo in Brazil in 2013, Casemiro had a very successful time there, winning 5 Champions League medals, two league titles, one Copa del Rey, besides other awards.
Brazilian international Casemiro, who has 63 caps, bid a sad farewell to Real previously on Monday. He specifically thanked teammates midfielders Luka Modric as well as Toni Kroos.
