Mahindra & Mahindra has ranked as one of the top 25 auto manufacturer companies at the global level after Tata Motors, with an annual profit of ₹10,282 crore.
Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has achieved a significant milestone by securing a place among the top 25 global automobile manufacturers.
With a net annual profit of ₹10,282 crore for the financial year ending in March 2022, Mahindra & Mahindra has become the second Indian company to make it to this prestigious list, following Tata Motors.
The company’s profits saw an impressive growth of 56 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.
Additionally, Mahindra & Mahindra announced a dividend of Rs 16.25 per share, indicating its robust financial performance.
Mahindra & Mahindra currently holds the 22nd position on the list of top global auto manufacturers, positioned between Yamaha Motor Company and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. This achievement showcases the company’s consistent growth and success in the automotive industry.
The Indian automobile manufacturer reported a substantial increase in profits, jumping from Rs 6,577 crore in the previous fiscal year to Rs 10,282 crore in FY22.
This signifies a remarkable 56 percent surge in profitability. The company’s consolidated profit after tax for the fourth quarter of FY22 also witnessed a growth of 18 percent, reaching Rs 2,637 crore.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s strong performance can be attributed to its successful operations across automotive, farm equipment, and financial services business verticals.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s revenue for the fourth quarter of FY23 stood at Rs 32,366 crore, compared to Rs 25,934 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company’s exceptional financial results have allowed it to declare a dividend of 365 percent per equity share, amounting to Rs 16.25 per share with a face value of Rs 5 each.
This substantial dividend payout demonstrates the company’s commitment to rewarding its shareholders.
It is worth noting that the list of top global automobile manufacturers is predominantly dominated by Japanese companies, with six manufacturers from Japan securing a place in the rankings.
Following Japan, both China and Germany have four automobile companies each featured in the list.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s inclusion in this elite group of global auto manufacturers highlights its growing influence and prominence in the industry.
