Lenovo expanding in-house PCs, smartphones, tablets manufacturing plant in India

On Thursday, Tech giant Lenovo announced it is increasing the local production capabilities in India across products like PCs, smartphones, notepads to fulfill the surge in customer demand. This will add a lot to the future of India’s Tech Industry.
They will extend the in-house PC manufacturing plant in Puducherry to incorporate a third assembling line while it has begun local production of its tablet PCs in collaboration with Wingtech Technology in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The tech company didn’t reveal the investment being made; however, it is growing in India across all businesses, including infrastructure solutions, smart devices, cell phones, particularly in the recently set services and solutions group.

Lenovo’s Puducherry plant, which has been functional since 1999, was recently extended to incorporate Lenovo’s famous IdeaPad notebook PCs from its buyer portfolio.
Presently, with the expansion of a third manufacturing line, the office has started making products across Lenovo’s total commercial and consumer range, including workstations, notebooks, desktops, the statement added.
