The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have announced their team squad for the upcoming 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is set to commence on April 8, 2023.
The two-time IPL champions have made some interesting changes to their squad this year with an aim to clinch the coveted trophy for the third time.

Eoin Morgan, who led the team last year, will continue to be a part of the squad as a player. The head coach of the team will be former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis.
KKR have spent a whopping sum of Rs. 67.25 crore in the auction to acquire some of the best players in the world.
Some of the team’s key players, including Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Lockie Ferguson, have been kept on while new talent has also been brought in.
With batsmen like Eoin Morgan, Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, and Rahul Tripathi, the team will have a strong batting lineup.
All-around players Andre Russell and Sunil Narine will give the team the much-needed depth. The team has some talented pace bowlers, including Prasidh Krishna, Pat Cummins, and Lockie Ferguson.

Shubman Gill (C), Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana, Karun Nair are batsmen. Sunil Narine, Ben Cutting, Shakib Al Hasan, and Andre Russell are all-around players. Wicketkeepers include Tim Seifert and Dinesh Karthik.
Pat Cummins, Lockie Ferguson, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav, Harbhajan Singh, Varun Chakravarthy are bowlers.
The team will play their home matches at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. The team will be seen in their traditional purple and gold jersey this year.
